Happy Monday!
Hard to believe it, but we're already halfway through October! This weekend, I came to terms with how fast Fall is flying by when I found myself purchasing my first sparkly holiday dress of the season. That, coupled with the fact that by the time I get home from my whirlwind trip across India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Korea, it'll already be November...which means Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's are just around the corner!
With the holidays on my mind, I thought it was only fitting that I share with you guys a quick party appetizer: Caramelized Onions with Gruyere Cheese over Crackers. These deceivingly simple little guys make a wonderful presentation and serve as a perfectly fancy party accompaniment.
Caramelized onions - easy step-by-step photo instructions here
Gruyere cheese, shaved/sliced into tiny pieces
Crackers
1. Assemble caramelized onions on top of crackers
2. Assemble gruyere cheese on top of onions.
(Not really much of a recipe, right?)
Don't they look fancy? I hope you'll give these a try for your next party!
Hope you all have a great start to your week...I'm off on my trip starting Wednesday, but don't worry - Rachel from last last week's Pumpkin Bread post will be back later this week to share another one of her favorite Fall treats with you guys (blondies, anyone?). I'll also be posting weekly updates from my travels, so be sure to check back in soon!
