Abercrombie & Fitch Opens in Hong Kong

I don't post too much about my day job, but I thought this today could be an exception!

Abercrombie & Fitch has just opened its first-ever store in Hong Kong, and true to our company, we did it BIG! One hundred and ten of our finest male models, hand selected from all over the world, were flown into Hong Kong the week before the official August 11 opening.

The store, located in Central's Pedder Building, is one pricey piece of real estate. How much, exactly? HK $7 million per month in rent, which is about US $1 million per month. I was lucky enough to see the Pedder Building in person last Summer before we began construction, and it is truly amazing how much we have transformed the building into a breathtakingly beautiful A&F Flagship.

True, A&F has more than its fair share of naysayers who bash us as an elitist brand that has lost its cool and its customers. Say what you will, but it's impossible to not be impressed by the sheer passion and magnitude of work that comes along with putting on something like this. And as for having lost touch with our customer base? Well...I think the photos above prove that, yup, we've still got it.

I can't wait to check out A&F Hong Kong this Fall...I'm sure it will be amazing!
