Louis Vuitton in Louisville

Yesterday, I mentioned that while shopping along Bardstown Road in Louisville, Kentucky, I discovered a little vintage consignment shop that quickly became the highlight of my trip! 

Vintage Salvatore Ferragamo and Louis Vuitton? 

Yes, please!

Meet my newest friends...

This Ferrgamo clutch was in pristine condition, and came with its cloth bag and classic red box. Why anyone would give this up is beyond me! The extra long gold chain strap made the bag extra versatile - cross body or tucked in, I can't wait to show this baby off!

The shopkeeper then told me he had just gotten in some vintage Louis Vuitton and asked if I'd be interested.

Interested? Interested would be an understatement, to say the least!

A vintage passport holder, with a little wear and tear...but nothing a little TLC can't fix!
(Brad, feel free to sweep me away on a last minute Italian getaway!)

And then this, the new love of my life: a vintage LV soft briefcase...such a beauty!

Some love needed here to restore some life back into it, but the framework is still fully intact, and the zipper is still functioning as well!

How beautiful are these vintage finds? The shopkeeper said they were owned by a judge in Washington DC and were brought in by his nephew after he passed. I love hearing the stories behind vintage items...it really gives them a life and makes that feel that much more special!

I'm thinking I may need to tackle these Louis finds as my next craft project - a little repair and restore job to bring out their full beauty!
